Consumers, the driving force of business organisations - Dr. Hans
Wijesuriya
Treating consumers with care and designing products to suit their
needs is vital because they are the driving force of business
organisations, said CEO Dialog Telekom Dr. Hans Wijesuriya.
He was addressing the launch of the Bank of Ceylon (BoC) Prestige
Plus Current Account for professionals and busy executives at the bank
head office in Colombo on Wednesday.
Dr. Wijesuriya said no business organisation could succeed without a
consumer friendly market policy. The market capitalisation of Dialog
Telekom which is over US$ 2 billion comes from over four million
consumers.
Sri Lanka has a strong domestic market which businesses should make
optimum use of, he said. The BoC Prestige Plus Account is designed for
doctors, engineers, lecturers, accountants, architects, consultants,
lawyers, other professionals and organisations.
A Prestige Plus Account could be opened in any of the branches with
an initial deposit of Rs. 30,000 and a minimum monthly balance of Rs.
10,000. Of the 300 branches 289 are linked through an on-line network.
An account holder will be issued a personalised cheque book, Visa
electron debit card, BoC credit card, free joining fee and access to a
host of products and services.
The credit card will have an initial credit limit of Rs. 100,000, but
the limit could be enhanced to match the requirements with ease. |
