Sunday Observer way ahead

The Sunday Observer, Sri Lanka's English newspaper with the largest circulation, has been rated as the most readable English weekly with the highest readership, a survey conducted by the SRL Media Habits said.

According to the latest survey on the print media readership from March to September 2007 by the SRL, the Sunday Observer's readership is 571,348 with a growth rate of 3.75 percent, way ahead of the second place competitor at 333,421 with a growth rate of only 2.19 percent.

The Sunday Observer has also consolidated its position by increasing its market share from 53.88 % in March to 58.18% in September, whereas its closest competitor had only 25.95% in March.
