Triad tops medal tally at Chillies 2008
Winning for the third consecutive year at Sri Lanka's Advertising
Awards, the Chillies 2008, Triad again proved its creative supremacy by
topping the medal tally at the award ceremony. Placing itself as the
"hottest" in the Sri Lankan advertising industry, after dominating the
Chillies advertising awards since its inception in 2006, it is thought
that Triad's performance is not only a record breaking feat in Sri Lanka
but also probably within the region.
Jt. Managing Director Dilith Jayaweera said "at Triad we credit our
success, not only at Chillies but also in building strong and solid
brands, to a team spirit which characterises the spirit of the agency.
In essence our creative product is a result of good teamwork".
Triad, an agency started by two law graduates Dilith Jayaweera and
Varuni Amunugama Fernando created history by growing a fledgling agency
to one with an annual billing in excess of Rs. 1 billion, within fifteen
years. Billed to celebrate 15 years of operations in 2008, Jt. Managing
Director Varuni Amunugama Fernando, noted the reasons for the agency's
success.
Creative Director Anton Thanapathy said, "the most encouraging thing
about this year's win is not only the fact that we won for the third
consecutive time but more so the fact that this year's judging panel is
the most eminent since the inauguration of the awards. |
