CRICKET: Sri Lanka vice captain and left-hander Kumar Sangakkara hit a trail blazing 285 from 292 balls with three sixes and 31 boundaries as NCC piled up a massive 503 for 6 in their first innings on the third day of their SLC Premier League inter club four day tier A cricket tournament match against Moors SC continued at Maitland Place yesterday.

Moors SC: 225 and 40 for no loss (N. Nawala 24 n.o.).

NCC: 503 for 6 decl (K. Gunawardena 72, K. Sangakkara 285, C. Wijesinghe 25, M. Gajanayake 77, A. Rideegammanagedera 2 for 108).

Sparkling 188 by Indika

Middle order batsman Indika de Saram hammered a sparkling 188 from just 152 deliveries with a dozen of sixes and 19 boundaries to help Ragama CC reach a formidable 331 runs in their first innings on the third day of their SLC Premier League inter club four day Tier A cricket tournament match against Baduraliya SC continued at Braybrooke Place yesterday.

Wicket keeper batsman Kaushal Silva struck an elegant century to give SSC a close first innings lead over Chilaw Marians SC on the third day of their SLC Premier League inter club four day Tier A cricket tournament match continued at the R. Premadasa Stadium yesterday.
