CIMA global conference from May 28-31

The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) launched its first global conference in Sri Lanka.

The conference will be held from May 28-31 under the theme "Igniting Passion, Blazing Trails".

The four-day conference will attract over 1,200 delegates including around 200 from diverse corporates across the world.

President, CIMA Sri Lanka Division, Aruna Fernando said the conference will be centred around peace building,innovation, global branding and leadership which are relevant in the present context.

Chairman Technical Committee Suthesh Balasubramaniam said the conference will be an opportunity to showcase Sri Lanka as a centre for international conferences and endorses the capabilities within the CIMA fraternity in organising events of this nature.

The speakers will include Nobel Prize winner John Hume, Chairman ANC National Disciplinary Council of South Africa Prof. Kader Asmal and Director Standard Chartered Bank Hong Kong, Norman Lyle.
