NBQSA awards for local ICT achievements
The British Computer Society (BCS) Sri Lanka Section launched the
National Best Quality Software Awards (NBQSA) 2008 which recognises
exceptional local ICT achievements.
NBQSA has offered opportunities to individuals and organisations
which have made outstanding contributions to develop the ICT industry in
Sri Lanka.
Chairman, BCS Sri Lanka Section, Sujeeva Dissanayake said NBQSA has
gained recognition locally and internationally over the years and its
Seal of Excellence is regarded as the symbol of achievement and serves
as a vessel to gain reputation for ICT products.
NBQSA launched by BCS in 1998 has helped to improve standards and the
quality of local ICT products and services to compete in the
international market.
Winners of the competition become eligible for the Asia Pacific ICT
Awards (APICTA), an international awards program launched to increase
ICT awareness in the community and assist in bridging the digital
divide.
The NBQSA will be held on October 17 at the Waters Edge, Battaramulla. |
