Beware of counterfeit copier toners, says Metropolitan

Metropolitan Office (Pvt) Ltd., the sole authorised agents for Canon toners for photocopiers and Canon office automation products, recently launched an awareness campaign to showcase the benefits of using genuine Canon toners and the negative impact of using counterfeit toners.

Some of the harmful results that counterfeit toners bring about are that expected or recommended yield is not achieved, spillage of toner inside the machine making it messy and untidy, and the blurred, low quality copies.

Most importantly, counterfeit toners tend to damage the "developer assembly", the most vital part of the machine, which accounts for approximately 20% of the value of the photocopier.

Unaware to the user, counterfeit toners damages the photocopy machine for life.The technologically advanced genuine Canon toner has been patented internationally by Canon Inc. of Japan.

"Unfortunately, customers are not aware of the damage that a counterfeit toner could do to a photocopy machine. In the long run using genuine Canon toners is more economical for the user.
