Lake House win three titles

TABLE TENNIS: Lake House had a field day, winning three titles at the Nationalised Services Table Tennis Tournament held at the S. Thomas' College, Indoor Stadium Mt. Lavinia.

Lake House women's team became champions in the 'A' division, defeating People's Bank 3-0. The team was represented by Namal Gunasekera, Deepika Rodrigo, Champa Wimalawardena. Ira Ruwanpathirana and Sudarma Malaviarachchi played for People's Bank.

The men's 'C' division title also came Lake House way and they beat Ceylon Transport Board 3-0. J. W. Herath, Sanjaya Ariyaratne, T. H. T. Anuradha and A. Peiris represented the champion side.

In the team mixed doubles event, Lake House team did extremely well to win the title, defeating National Savings Bank 3-0. Namal Gunasekera/R. A. Wimalasena, Deepika Rodrigo/Chaminda Wijegunawardena and Champa Wimalawardena/J. W. Herath were unbeaten in all three games.

NSB - men's title

National Savings Bank took the men's 'A' division title, defeating Water Board 3-0. The team was represented by Prabath Indrajith, Waruna Gunawardena, Nimal Perera. Women's 'B' division champions, Rupavahini Corporation (Daya Peiris and N. Dhammika) beat National Savings Bank (Gayani Kahithotage, R. Lilanthi) 2-0.

Men's 'B' division champions - Peoples Bank (Ajith Ratnayake, T. Seneviratne, S. Rohan) beat Sri Lanka Ports Authority (N. Dhammika, D. Sanjeewa, D. S. Munasinghe, S. Priyasantha) 3-1.
