Dharmaraja - a double win

FOOTBALL: Dharmaraja College, Kandy won both the under-17 and under-19 Football Championships of the Kandy District Schools Football tournament on Sunday, July 27.

In the under-19 tournament final, Dharmaraja beat Trinity by 2 goals to 1 in a closely contested game. K. Rajindrakumar and L.B. Thanthirige scored a goal each for the winners while the solitary goal for Trinity was scored by Damien Fernando. Referee: S.M. Wazir.

In the under-17 final, Dharmaraja beat Zahira College, Katugastota by 3 goals to nil C. Chandraratne scored 2 goals and T. Wijesinghe scored the other goal for the Rajans. Mayor of Kandy. L.B. Aluwihare was the cheif guest.
