Turner was in Colombo to review the progress of Hyatt Regency Colombo.
The Ceylinco Celestial Residencies will be perched atop the Hyatt
Regency Colombo.
Turner said, “we have a great amount of confidence in Sri Lanka as an
island and Colombo as a city, because of its people, the culture and the
history is so perfect for this hotel to be one of the rising stars in
this part of the world. we believe by the time the Hyatt Regency Colombo
opens to the public, the city and the country will be ready for one of
the best hotels in South Asia”.
Turner said that Hyatt has a strong reputation in the world to create
very dynamic bars and restaurants and we are trying to create something
different and far more dynamic than has yet to be seen in Colombo.
Dr. Lalith Kotelawala, Chairman, Ceylinco Consolidated, partnering
Hyatt International in this venture said, “in building this mammoth
structure our intention is to encourage and develop local talent and
thereby give an opportunity to many Sri Lankans to be associated with
this project, as they have the knowledge, expertise and all it takes to
