Hyatt Regency Colombo

Vice President - Hyatt International Technical Services Inc Malcolm Turner was in Colombo to review the progress of Hyatt Regency Colombo. The Ceylinco Celestial Residencies will be perched atop the Hyatt Regency Colombo.

Turner said, “we have a great amount of confidence in Sri Lanka as an island and Colombo as a city, because of its people, the culture and the history is so perfect for this hotel to be one of the rising stars in this part of the world. we believe by the time the Hyatt Regency Colombo opens to the public, the city and the country will be ready for one of the best hotels in South Asia”.

Turner said that Hyatt has a strong reputation in the world to create very dynamic bars and restaurants and we are trying to create something different and far more dynamic than has yet to be seen in Colombo.

Dr. Lalith Kotelawala, Chairman, Ceylinco Consolidated, partnering Hyatt International in this venture said, “in building this mammoth structure our intention is to encourage and develop local talent and thereby give an opportunity to many Sri Lankans to be associated with this project, as they have the knowledge, expertise and all it takes to match world-class construction.
