Shadow of my life......
Looking at my childhood
I can remember
How many hours, had my head
laid in your comfortable lap.
Still I feel your warmth
Although I am so far away from you......
You protected my life,
With your strength and handful of glee
You leave a smile on my lips
And never give me a chance to cry.
You bless me for all courage
At all times
Amma, be happy!
Now I’m there
Where you wanted me to be
That’s because,
You are the ‘shadow of my life !’

Where are you?
Wind may blow here and there
Come and go like dew in the air
Day by day the life will be fair
That’s what to hear from you I care
What you teach me,
the way they share
Being the shine which,
guides my bear
You were the candle when,
dark is there
Thought that you are,
a one of the rare
Proud and loved we were, the pair
Got or nothing to dare
You have gone and still I’m here
no one knows now, you live, where

Sabotage?
It was a glorious morning
With the golden alchemy
Of the sun, brightening the surroundings
Where a boy of about seven,
Was looking fixedly at the sky
With a contented grin,
Which displayed a gap,
In front of the upper pallet,
Due to a missing tooth;
His study and wirey body,
Looked quite active and healthy,
And his sole attention was with the sky
In spite of the hot sun.
He was proud of the height
That his kite had soared.
The next moment,
His contented grin was turned
To a horror,
And then a fear of cry,
As his kite descended rapidly;
Like a hunted bird,
It struck at last,
on the barbed-wire fence, close by,
Bringing a drop of tear,
In the eye of the boy!
Was it due to a change
In the direction of the blowing wind?
Or was it the Sabotage
Of a rival?

Poetry of Place
Now that we have moved from personal poems into poems about the world
around us, it is time to explore poetry of place. Poets have
memorialized places in verse for about as long as there have been poems.
In a place poem, the poet attempts to capture the spirit of a particular
place, and perhaps use that place to reflect upon either the events in
their life or the events that have taken place at that location.
Things to remember when writing a poem about a place
The more vividly and distinctly you describe the place you are
writing about, the easier it will be to draw your reader into any other
themes that you have in mind.
Themes that arise out of the description will be the most likely to
take root. Look for details that blend well with your thoughts.
The more meaningful a place is to you, the more likely you will write
about it with passion, but sometimes it is more interesting to look for
a location you don’t know so well and imagine a history for it.
You are a poet, not a reporter. Don’t feel as if you can’t change the
occasional detail. Just be aware that if someone with knowledge of the
place reads it and catches the differences, it might annoy them.
When you can, it is a good idea to actually be at the location you
are writing about when you write about it. Plenty of poems have been
written after the fact, however. Wordsworth’s Tintern Abbey was written
five years later, and it may be the most famous place poem in the whole
literature.
Lived a dream of one or two days
And a rainbow coloured dream it was,
Butterflies fluttered in light,
Fairy lights shimmered in dark
Loving were the mornings,
Laughing were the days,
Evenings were soothing,
And the nights embracing.
Rose hued hopes,
Rapid heart beats,
Long awaited moments,
Mesmerizing illusions.
Minutes ticked away, days passed by,
Hopes drifted far where I could never fly,
Yet another dream it became...but
A dream I still live-in time to time
It’s touch still in my heart,
It’s fragrance still in my days......

Y ?
Sometimes I’m smiling
Sometimes I’m laughing
But, I’m the only one who knows
That I’m crying inside
Because my beloved is far away from me.
If we are not deceiving ourselves
Why can’t God give a chance for us to meet
I need to see you
I like to smile with you
I like to touch you
If all the other lovers can do it......?
Why can’t both of us do it......?
I’m wondering, I’m questioning God......?
I’m half dead finding the answer......
But whatever happens
I still need you,
Because I love you.

My Generation
Forever... forever will we fly?
Love this life and just try -
Try to see the beauty while lining the dots,
Filling each puzzle, tying every knot;
In a broken world we are a ‘Lost Generation’.
Stressed and rejected to make our orations.
Now machines have spawned in every direction,
Always present to make your correction.
If you try to fly, they will clip your wings;
Oh yes! These are dangerous things.
Live through and fight another day,
One day your plight will have just pay.
They will block, if you live your way,
And if you become their clay,
On our paths you cannot stay.
Friends of my generation, condemned to their mind.
One day will be the time for our kind.
So wait... we will come up on their games.
And claim our fame and there will be no shame.

All in a day
All the roads are closed today,
How my mind is peaceful?
When the whole world is silent,
I feel like starting to write this poem.
Sometimes the phone was ringing on and off.
Girls are wearing lovely kits,
Walking wearing noisy shoes,
They are going up and down,
Smiley faces and mischievous walks,
How happy am I working with them?
When the sun set wings are blowing- Till the end of the day
