Confab Steel sponsors local structural Engineers

Confab Steel, Sri Lanka's largest manufacturer of steel, with an investment of Rs. 1 billion in their state of the art manufacturing plant in Veyangoda, sponsored the recently concluded seminar conducted by the Society of Structural Engineers of Sri Lanka on 'A Vision for High Rise Buildings' which was in keeping with Confab Steel's position as the largest steel manufacturer in Sri Lanka.

Confab Steel's MD, Sri Sushil Kumar Bhuwalka, said they were proud to be associated with this event, where the leading professionals in the industry shared their knowledge and ideas to take the local construction industry to new heights.

Architecture, Quantity Surveying, Project Management, Construction Technology, Integration of Services, Structural Analysis and Design were some of the topics that were under discussion, while the presenters included renowned industry professionals such as Prof. Lakshman Alwis, Prof. Thisan Jayasinghe and Prof. [Mrs] C. Wedikkara, among others.

The welcome address was delivered by Engineer S. A. Karunarate, while Bhuwalka gave a presentation on Confab Steel.
