Program to improve rural schools

The Anula Vidyalaya, Nugegoda has organised a five-day program to improve the standard of village schools in the from September 29, to October 3. The Hathareskotuwa Junior School and Aluthoya Junior School in Polonnaruwa will be supported under this project, which was introduced by the Ministry of Education.

The project will be the third stage of the program and a residential workshop to motivate and enhance the knowledge of the students who sit for the G.C.E. (O/L) Examination in 2008. The students of those schools will be given an opportunity to visit the Colombo Museum, the Planetarium and the Zoological Gardens, Dehiwala to commemorate the Children's Day which falls on October, 1.
