Wellawatte Nithyakalyani bags Jewellery Exporter of 2007 Award

Wellawatte Nithyakalyani Jewellery bagged the Best Jewellery Exporter of 2007 award in the large category at the recent National Chamber Export awards at the Hilton Colombo.

Nithyakalyani was adjudged the winner from among so many jewellers. The award was presented based on export performance, number of employees, market and product development, effective management of marketing, brand marketing and diversification. Wellawatte Nithyakalyani has been in the jewellery industry for more than 30 years and this award is a definite recognition of Nithyakalyani's leading industry position as a strong exporter," said CEO of Nithyakalyani Jewellers, A.P. Jayarajah.

Nithyakalyani was set up in 1978 as a retailer of jewellery in the southern metropolis of Colombo. In 1991, Nithyakalyani expanded its business by going into manufacturing with three goldsmiths. Today, Nithyakalyani Jewellers has a modern showroom at Wellawatte, which displays an exquisite collection of diamond, platinum, gold, white gold, silver jewellery along with an array of gems and semi-precious stones.

More than 30 goldsmiths work at Nithyakalyani today side by side qualified jewellery designers who put out a wide range of designs that caters to every age, taste and style.
