The exhibition was inaugurated by Minister of Housing and Common
Amenities, Ferial Ashroff. The event was supported by the Ministry of
Construction and Engineering Services, Ministry of Export Development
and Internal Trade, Board of Investment and Bar Association of Sri
Lanka.
The Minister commended the initiative taken by Pico Events in
planning and organising such an event which filled a void in the
country. She said it was wonderful to have a place where you gain
knowledge of the services under one roof and a platform for the industry
to express themselves.
The event was uniquely positioned and exclusively focused on the
concept and theme of the event a "Real Estate Exhibition". Almost every
visitor who walked in was with a specific need in property, housing or
construction, which made the efforts of the exhibitors a more
concentrated one and the chances of generating results through the many
encounters were high. The Sri Lankan consumer's lifestyle has been a
rapid escalation compared to the recent past and they endeavour to
educate themselves prior to entering into transactions of this nature,
which was evident at the 'Home and Property Show. The event also
showcased stalls from the Bar Association of Sri Lanka, with a panel of
lawyers providing all the support and advice in every aspect of legal
formalities to make that all important housing decision. |
