Navin and Damindhi clinch National Squash titles

SQUASH - Navin Samarasinghe regained his national men's title while
Damindhi Udangawe won the women's title for the first time at the
Findlay National Squash Championships concluded at the Gymkhana Club
Courts yesterday.
The women's final between Damindhi Udangawe and Ashani Weerasinghe
lasted less than twenty minutes as the winner completely out played her
less experienced opponent and beat her in straight sets 9-2,9-0,9-1.
Damindhi had represented the country at junior level, and clinched the
women's title for the first time.
In the men's final between seasoned Navin Samarasinghe and Eranga
Amunugama, Samarasinghe too had an easy passage beating Amunugama in
straight sets 9-3,9-0,9-4. Samarasinghe displayed his superior court
skills and fine placing to rattle Amunugama who showed some promise in
the first set 3-9, but unable to maintain the same momentum in the
remainder of sets.

Women's Open. Damindhi Udangawe beat Ashani Weerasinghe 9-2,9-0,9-1.
