Seeta Devi Club win women's tourney

HOCKEY: The third All-Island Inter-Club hockey tournament conducted by old Sylvesterians Sports Club had some interesting matches on November 29 and 30 at Bogambara Stadium.

Though rain interrupted the matches, most of the finals were worked off, but the boys schools final between St. Thomas' College Matale and Christ Church College Matale could not be worked off due to rain and both were declared joint champions.

Over 40 men: Champions - Police Sports Club, runners-up: Old Sylvesterians S. C.: Club tourney for women: Winners Seeta Devi Club, runners-up: Essence Sports Club,: Girls schools champions: L.S.D.S.H.A. Uttara Pradesh, India and runners - up: Seeta Devi Balika, Kandy.
