SPORTS AWARDS: The 62nd anniversary and annual awards ceremony of the Public Services Sports Club was held last Saturday with Jagath Kulatunge - the Senior Vice President of the Club as chief guest.

The following receives awards:

Snooker (Open) - Champion: T.M.K. Wijesinghe, runner-up- S. Gamage.

Billiards (Open) - Champion: T.M.K. Wijesinghe, runner-up - A.M.G. Abeyratne.

Snooker (Novices) - Champion: Jagath Kulatunge, runner-up - Gamini Kulatunge.

Snooker (Doubles): Champions: Subash Deshapriya and Suresh Ekanayake, runner-up - Gamini Kulatunge and Harold Ranasinghe.

Billiards (Novices) Champion: Suresh Ekanayake, runner-up - Harold Ranasinghe.

Carrom (Open): Champion Harold Ranasinghe, runner-up - P.N.A. Dassanayake.

Carrom (Double): Champions Jagath Kulatunge and T.M.K. Wijesinghe, runners-up - Harold Ranasinghe and P. Prenalihewa.

Walking Race (Over 50 years): 1. Pradeep Kandawela, 2. Jagath Welagalle.
