The Tamil Makkal Viduthalai Pulikal (TMVP) leader and parliamentarian Vinayagamoorthy Muralitharan a.k.a. Karuna praised the armed forces on their remarkable victories, including the opening of the A-9 highway within a short time.

Commenting on the recent victories by the armed forces in Vanni, Parliamentarian Muralitharan told the Sunday Observer that it was unbelievable to see the way they had gained victories in Vanni.

“Within a very short period the Forces had gained control of LTTE’s various strategic locations including Oddusuddan, Kilinochchi and Elephant Pass. With the fall of Elephant Pass the Security Forces have gained full control of the A-9 Highway.

“As a result of re-opening the A-9 highway not only the people in Jaffna but also the civilians in Vanni will benefit immensely,” Karuna added.
