High Platinum Band Rating for Coca-Cola
Coca-Cola Sri Lanka has been rated in the Platinum band of the
inaugural Corporate Accountability Rating conducted by STING
Consultants.
The first-ever 'Report Card' on corporate accountability, based on
the implementation of a strategic approach to corporate accountability
is compiled by STING Consultants, in association with LMD, the Corporate
Accountability Rating evaluates submissions made by the companies and
classifies them into broad bands, based on their level of adherence to
implementing a strategic approach to corporate accountability.
Coca-Cola Sri Lanka was one of the four corporate entities to score
more than the 90 points required for Platinum status.
The rating system focuses on assessing the level of an individual
business and its ability to understand and institute relevant processes
and systems to fall in line with this concept, through a strategic
operating model.
The primary focus was on assessing the awareness of the company, its
approach to preparedness for corporate accountability.
Companies were assessed in seven specific categories: corporate
values, risk and opportunity identification, policies, stakeholder
engagement, management and measurement, workplace and public disclosure.
Commenting on the Platinum rating received Sarath Jayasinghe, Country
Human Resources Manager, Coca-Cola Sri Lanka said, "This is yet another
milestone and we are extremely proud of this ranking which exhibits to
the world what we do on behalf of mankind and the environment in which
we operate."
Coca-Cola constantly works towards reaching such milestones, defying
all challenges and ensuring sustainability in taking CSR to higher
levels. At Coca-Cola, the real CSR begins from within the organisation
and then flows outwards.
