Tamil, Muslim, Malay, Burgher and the `Adi Waasi’ cuisine that cannot be

Guests will be welcomed to a truly Sri Lankan atmosphere with floral
decor highlighting historical stone pillars, sesath, elephants, batiks,
hurricane lamps and with hostesses in multi-ethnic dress to symbolize
the unity.
Cultural shows and a combination of oriental music for entertainment
will enhance the theme for the evening.
Food of all ethnic groups have been carefully selected and planned to
give the spread an exotic twist of authenticity. Like traditional
Sinhala crispy hoppers, pittu, mutton curry, brinjal pahi, fried
kos-atta and more of the food down the ages.
Tamil
specialities will include a miscellaneous variety of tempting dishes
like Vadais in curd, dhosais, kotta kelungu, vegetable bonda and the all
time favourite the Crab Curry.
The Malay and Muslim cuisine will consist of mani pittu, satay,
blachan, the adukk roti, kottu roti, fish roti and cheese roti and much
more.
The Burgher speciality will quite naturally be the lamprais wrapped
in banana leaf and other typical Burgher delicacies. Finally the `Adi
Waasi’ spread of katu ala, kurrakkan roti stuffed with fish and thibbatu
mellum and beef dummassa.
