The expertise in mixing the grooves and keeping dancers on the floor till the early hours of dawn is an art which DJs have perfected in our music industry and are popular too running parallel to music bands. The legendary trio Kapila, Naushad and Harith - the KNH Project - return behind the console to make their trend setting impact on March 28 at the H2O, 9.00 p.m. onwards.

The trio during their halcyon days at the Blue Elephant created a unique style that was a must in every revellers night agenda in the early 90’s. Their magic formula will surely keep the groovers on their feet until night turns into morn. “KNH project Revival” on Saturday, March 28 is a happening that becomes a reality by popular demand.

“KNH comeback is the mastermind of DJ Kapila who had always wanted to do something different, a project different from other DJs in Sri Lanka, to encourage them to have an identity of their own. And we can proudly claim that KNH have an identity that has resulted in many fans’, says Harith who intends following drum classes.

Recalling memories of the successful Millennium Party the trio organised at the North Lawn - Taj Hotel Harith exclaims “what a night that was! It was for all those who had to work during the dawn of the millennium”.

When KNH are not together mixing the music behind the console they are busy with their day time jobs. Kapila is the Food and Beverage Manager at the Hilton Colombo, while Harith is involved with John Keells Resorts as Assistant Manager of Food and Beverage Operations. As for Naushad he runs his own Jungle Juice Bar and ‘Movie and Music Store’ and is a honourary DJ at various popular night spots in Colombo.

In a quick spool back KNH released their first remix CD “Years of Deejaying” in 1999 and followed it up with another success story in their e-mix for Shaggy’s tour of Sri Lanka in 2000 of ‘It Wasn’t Me’. The good news is that the trio is working on a new CD containing three Sri Lankan songs remixed to hip-hop beats and we are told that it will be something to look forward to.

In the meantime re-new your friendship with KNH Project and catch their modern beats and you can be sure that at H2O on March 28 you are in for a dynamic late late show!
