Are you at wits’ end to buy that
ideal present for your loved one? Would you like to couple a card and a
cake?
If you have trouble coming up with something creative to gift, then
look no further than the Cinnamon Grand for they have come up with
another crazy gift for your loved ones.
For the first time in Sri Lanka, the Cinnamon Grand Hotel, the winner
of the prestigious Presidental Travel and Tourism Award for the Best
Five-Star City Hotel, has introduced a crazy concept of creating cards
out of cakes for the Valentine season this year.
“We always believe in maintaining our motto which is `affordable
indulgence’ and this was why we came up with the concept of `Card Cakes’
which is part of our expressions campaign”, said PR Manager Tharika
Goonetilleke.
The
cards are not only reasonably-priced but also yummy. “We strive to give
the best to our loyal patrons and this `Card Cakes’ promotion was
launched in a bid to thank all those who have stood by us”, she said.
Executive Pastry Chef W.D.M.L. Niranjan and his talented team, who
have been carefully creating the `101 cake menu’, are also brushing
their creative skills to fashion the `Card Cakes’ from parchment and
chocolate.
“The card cakes are pleasant to eat because they are not too sweet
and they can be kept for at least 3 days”.
The `Expressions’ promotion was started with the Valentine’s Day
cards that bear sweet phrases like `I love you’, `Your’re so sweet’ and
`Be Mine’ which is made with 350g of cake.
Today, you can choose more than 50 titles like `I’m Sorry’ to even
`Thank You’ that will be available from the `Expressions’ range and
every card is tenderly wrapped in a `card holder’ that bears the name of
the sender and the receiver. “We even have the option of creating
customised cakes because we believe in giving our clients the best
product”, said Tharika.
The `Expressions’ range at the Cinnamon Grand is decorated with these
lovely `Cake Cards’, meringue kisses, heart-shaped chocolates and fresh
roses managed by Cinnamon Grand employee Geethika who has been the
official promoter of these creative ideas. Rohan Karr, the General
Manager of the Cinnamon Grand has always given the creative team at the
Cinnamon Grand the platform to take their tagline of `Affordable
Indulgence’ further in the hospitality industry.
