Grade - 8 schols for Tsunami children

Toronto Mahavihara Scholarship Foundation, affiliated to the Toronto Mahavihara Society, Canada is currently accepting applications for the Grade 8 scholarships in Sri Lanka.

To be eligible for the grants, applicants must be in Grade 8 during January 2009 and belonging to 2004 tsunami affected families, living in one of the six following Regional Educational District Boards, in Sri Lanka: Galle, Matara, Hambanthota, Ampara, Batticaloa and Trincomalee.

Scholarship recipients will receive a monthly grant until the end of their school education, subjected to the guidelines established by the Foundation. Scholarships are awarded solely on the educational achievements and socio-economic backgrounds, besides the tsunami impact.
