Mrs. A. H. F. Lameera, (41) of 35/7, Jayanthi Mawatha, Mirihana, Kotte is suffering from diabetic nephropathy and now in end stage renal failure.

The thrice weekly haemodialysis (acitate) cost her about Rs. 33,000 per month and the estimated cost of a kidney transplant is Rs. 300,000.Consultant Nephrologist of Sri Jayawardenapura Hospital, Dr. C. A. Herath, recommends that she should undergo a transplant.

Baby needs your help

One-year-old Dithira Geemeth born with a hearing impediment needs cochlear implant.

According to Dr. Dinesh Murmu, ENT Surgeon who examined Dithira, the implant will have to be performed immediately. The estimated cost is around Rs. 1.9 million to 2.9 million, depending on the model of the cochlear.

Forty two year old, Lalith De Zoysa from Raddolugama Housing Scheme, is a diabetic and kidney patient. Dr. A. W. M. Wazil, the Nephrologist has diagnosed that both his kedneys have failed and has recommended a kidney transplant. He is married and unemployed.His brother seeks the help of a kind-hearted donor with B+ve or O+ve kidney.
