Angelina Jolie and her sexy
fashion choices have always been a hot topic among fashion- goers. The
screen goddess of Hollywood who has been often cited as one of the
World’s most beautiful women , has also been able to bag the Academy
Award, Golden Globe Awards, and Screen Actors Guild Award several times
while playing a significant role as a Goodwill Ambassador for the UN
refugee Agency.
In the recent past, thirty-four-year old Jolie, popularly known as
Angie could turn worldwide media attention towards her due to her
relationship with actor Brad Pitt with whom she currently lives raising
their three biological children Shiloh, Knox, and Vivienne and three
adopted ones- Maddox, Pax, and Zahara.
Jolie who was among ‘Time’s 100 most influential people in the world’
in 2006 and 2008, was also named the most beautiful woman in the world
by ‘People’ in 2006. On the Channel 4 Television show of UK titled ‘The
100 Greatest Sex Symbols’ in 2007, Angelina was voted the greatest sex
symbol.
‘Forbes’ ranked Jolie at No: 35 in their ‘Annual Celebrity 100’ list
in 2006, and No: 3 in 2008 while ‘Guinness World Records’ (2009 Edition)
described her as the most powerful actress.
Jolie who started off as a fashion model was said to have been quite
“insecure about her looks and unhappy with her life that she regularly
cut herself”. Though she had acted in many films before, it was ‘Lara
Croft: Tomb Raider’ that made her an international superstar.
  Upto
now Jolie had acted in 34 films and has also achieved fame as an
international fashion icon appearing constantly on the cover of fashion
magazines ‘Vanity Fair’, and ‘Harper’s Bazaar’ several times. ‘The
Sydney Morning Herald’ in its article “Everyone wants to look like Jolie”
(April 12, 2007) has described Jolie’s lips as the current gold standard
of beauty in the West among women seeking cosmetic surgery!
Jolie’s presence always adds glamour to film festivals and movie
premiers worldwide. In May 2007 she could mesmerise the audience that
attended “Ocean’s Thirteen” premiere during the Cannes Film Festival ,
wearing a wonderful canary yellow silk gown by Ungaro Haute Couture.
At the recently held Oscar Awards Jolie stood beautiful in her
strapless long black dress with Brad Pitt by her side .
“Sometimes maximum sexiness can take minimal effort” reported many a
tabloid after seeing Jolie attending ‘’ Kung Fu Panda and Secrets of the
Furious Five DVD Hollywood Premiere in a simple Ralph Lauren minidress
paired with Stuart Weitzman ‘nude pumps’.
The best part about this look according to these reports were “unlike
most celeb styles, it’s super accessible, wearable, and flattering, plus
something as basic as a black mini dress carries an endless array of
outfit possibilities!”

‘Hr: fashion’ in its website states that ‘“Fashion icon Angelina
Jolie is an A-lister in Hollywood that can sport anything she can grab
whatever is inside her closet, run her fingers through her hair and can
come out looking so fabulously gorgeous.”.
Her “immunity to fashion pitfalls’ has been much talked of.She is
also seen as one of the ‘very few women who can afford to fall into the
trap of fashion don’ts”, but she knows how to look ‘unbelievably
amazing’.
According to some fashion editors the reason is ‘the kind of beauty
she has’. ‘It balances out the fashion mishaps she sometimes gets into’.
Jolie’s tattoos too had sparked much media attention just as her
fashion choices..
As fashion critics say in the recent past a trend noticeable in
Jolie’s style choice is her seeming preference to loose-fitting dresses.
In January 2009 she wore ‘an asymmetrical iced-colored Max Azria
gown’ which is slightly drawn in at the waist and a nice bag by Herve
Leger (by Max Azria) to attend the Critics’ Choice Awards.
Angie’s choice for Golden Globes was also a loose dress with a slit
all the way up the leg. Her navy blue Max Azria gown which she wore for
SAG awards in January 2009 was glamorous though it did not show off her
curves.
