Australia’s Hugh Jackman - Sexiest Man Alive!
Here’s
good news for all the ladies out there - you can catch Hugh Jackman
starring alongside Nicole Kidman in the epic film Australia at the
Majestic Cinema. Hugh, was voted as the Sexiest Man of the Year 2009 in
People magazine.
After what was, no doubt, months of painstaking research, the
40-year-old’s reputation as a hard-bodied triple threat made him this
year’s torch-bearer of all that is dreamy. Did you know that Jackman’s
6’2 frame was covered with dirt for 95 per cent of the Australia shoot?
Or that his Australia co-star Nicole Kidman describes the father of
two as “tough and romantic at the same time” and that during the movie
shoot she noticed that “women’s jaws drop when Hugh walks into a room?”
Jackman’s wife, Deborra-Lee Furness, shared her non-advertorial
thoughts on being hitched to the reigning sexiest man alive.
Married to the actor for 12 years, Furness said that she likes to
refer to her husband’s physique as “the Body of Doom” but that she also
“likes what’s inside,” referring top Jackman’s habit of singing ballads
around the house and making pancakes with the kids. What a catch!
Slumdogging
Away!
With more news to give you, the
Booker-prize award winning book turned movie, ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ will
be at Majestic Cinema in April to offer Sri Lankans some Avurudu
happiness with this Oscar award winning movie.
Check Indian stars strut their stuff and see how it’s like to win a
million Rupees when you are from nowhere-land. This truly inspirational
movie will come to Majestic Cinema soon!
Dragonball
- What a ball!
Dragonball
Evolution feels like a Power Ranger film. The fight sequences, rather
weird characterization and stereotypical characters all allude to that
quirky batch of teenage kids guided by Zordon.
The story centre around the Dragonball series’ protagonist Goku
(Justin Chatwin), who through many unfortunate events finds himself
training to defend Earth from Lord Piccolo, played by James Marsters.
Marsters’ Piccolo was at best yawn-inducing.
From the original cartoon series, the positive aspects of the
character of Piccolo was his domineering voice, and interaction style.
The film overall is an open-and-close case but definitely should be
watched as the special effects are racy and creative. |
