World's Best Cabin Staff 2009:
Malaysia clinches award
Subang (2 April): Malaysia Airlines has regained its No. 1 position
as "World's Best Cabin Staff" in the latest global online survey by
Skytrax. This is the sixth time the airline has been given this
recognition since 2001.
Malaysia Airlines Managing Director/ Chief Executive Officer, Datuk
Idris Jala said, "I am delighted and very proud of our cabin crew. They
have showcased Malaysian Hospitality at its best, treating our customers
as valued guests in our own home. And for their efforts, they have been
recognised internationally.
"This is really good news indeed, especially amidst these challenging
times. It will put us in good stead as we move forward to achieve our
vision of becoming the World's Five Star Value Carrier, offering
customers the highest quality products and services at the most
affordable price," he said.
The 2009 World Airline Awards(tm) are based on the annual World
Airline Survey by Skytrax, which was conducted between August 2008 and
March 2009.
Focused on the quality of onboard customer experience, the survey
also looked at the "soft service" provided including cabin staff
friendliness, enthusiasm and attentiveness, sincerity as well as
consistency in service delivery, in addition to the usual general
service efficiency. |
