Subasinghe Outstanding Sportsman

C.D. Subasinghe won the Sir Nicholas Attiygala Trophy as the Most Outstanding Sportsman at the Colours Night of the University of Peradeniya last Friday at the Peradeniya University Gymnasium.

Most Outstanding Sportswoman Trophy donated by Prof. S. Bibile was not awarded. The Best Allrounder Sportsman Trophy donated by M.P.A. Wijesinghe was won by M.M. Amila Yapa while the Prof. H.A. Passe Trophy for the Best Alround Sportswoman was won by P.S.N. De Silva.

Over 360 boys and girls won colours for over 17 sports disciplines in cricket, soccer, basketball, table tennis, swimming, weight lifting and carrom.

The annual event was organised by the Directress of Physical Education, University of Peradeniya, Arosha Perera.
