SSC under-15 team win all three games

CRICKET: Sinhalese Sports Club under-15 cricket team under the able guidance of D.D.P. Alwis has had encouraging results in their recent encounters against Royal Hospital School, England, Moreten Cricket Club, Brisbane, Australia and against "Scorchers" team from Sydney, Australia.

Earlier this month, SSC under-15 beat Royal Hospital School, England by 111 runs at the SSC grounds.

SSC: 240 (Pathum Madushanka 50, Dushan Hemantha 67, Shamika Fernando 36, Jack 3 for 24).

Royal Hospital school: 117 (Topley 31, Fedley 19).

Man of the match: Dushan Hemantha (SSC).

On April 17th, the SSC under-15 team beat Moreton Cricket Club from Brisbane 4 wickets at the D.S. Senanayake College grounds.

Moreton CC: 24 (Binura Fernando 7 for 17).

SSC: 25 for 6 wkts (M. Read 2 for 10, Seahill 2 for 1).

The third match - SSC under-15 beat Scorchers Team from Sydney, Australia by 13 runs at the SSC grounds, Maitland Place.

SSC: 207 (Eranga Dassanayake 57 not out, Dushan Hemantha 46, Binura Fernando 19, Sadeena Samarawickrema 15, S. Hargovan 3 for 8, J. Kuo 2 for 16).

Scorchers Team: 194 (S. Hargovan 69, Sheldon 34, M. Stead 22).

Man of the match (SSC): Dushan Hemantha.

Man of the match (Scorechers Team): S. Hargovan.
