Sri Lanka is currently faced with one of its worst ever humanitarian
crises.
Over one million people have been displaced from their habitual
residences in the Northern Peninsula.
In such a crisis, the most important needs for survival are water,
food and medicines.
In an initiative to provide support to the people of the North and
help them face this situation, Coca-Cola Beverages Sri Lanka joined
massive efforts undertaken by civil society and the government and came
forward with a donation of 100,000 bottles of water.
To ensure speedy delivery of the 100,000 bottles of Kinley Water to
the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Vavuniya, Coca-Cola Beverages
Sri Lanka handed over the consignment to Dr. Athula Kahandaliyanage,
Secretary, Ministry of Healthcare and Nutrition, Sri Lanka. |
