 Madhavan signs new films...
There are good things happening for Madhavan when it comes to his
Bollywood stint. He has now signed films with two young promising
directors - Navdeep Singh of anorama Six Feet Under fame and Anand Rai
who has earlier directed Strangers - and both films are slated to be
filmed soon.
“Yes, I have signed films with both Navdeep and Anand. These are my
kind of directors because for them what holds utmost importance is a
concrete storyline. I saw that in 13B and this is why I worked with
director Vikram Kumar. I got a similar feeling when Navdeep and Anand
narrated the scripts of their respective films to me.
I was simplyblown
over and had no hesitation signing up for the films,” says Madhavan from
Bangkok where he is currently lodged for a business trip.

Shahrukh smoKing
 Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan’s act of smoking during an Indian
Premier League match hasn’t gone down too well with the anti-smoking
lobby.
The National Organisation for Tobacco Eradication (NOTE) was
upset with the broadcasts of the tournament which showed the footage of
King Khan smoking during the match between Kolkata Knight Riders and the
Kings XI Punjab. NOTE’s General Secretary Shekhar Salkar said in absence
of a law they had requested Shahrukh and other celebrities to quit
smoKing for their well being.
This is not the first time that King Khan landed in trouble due to
his smoking habit. In October 2007 he was served with a legal notice by
the same NGO for smoking during the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit
and an ODI match between India and Australia in Mumbai. Well Shahrukh
still seems to be in no mood to kick the butt.

Kareena wants Priyanka out of Shahid’s life
 It has been almost one and a half years since Kareena Kapoor split
with Shahid Kapoor and hooked up with Saif Ali Khan. But both Kareena
and Shahid have regularly been in touch with each other since then.
There
are rumours that Kareena is upset over Shahid’s budding romance with
Priyanka Chopra and feels Priyanka is not the right girl for Shahid.
It may be recalled that Kareena and Priyanka had once been good
friends having worked together in Andaaz and Aitraaz. But oncePriyanka
started dating Kareena’s ex Shahid the relationship between the two
actresses soured. Kareena also fears that Priyanka will never publicly
admit her love for Shahid and will dump him like the way she dumped
Hurman Baweja.
