Governor reunites family
by Dhaneshi YATAWARA
Northern Governor Major General G.A. Chandrasiri took immediate steps
to reunite a 1 1/2 year old baby girl Mythili and her nine year old
brother Subashwaran with their parents at the Cheddikulam Welfare Camp
for the displaced people in Vavuniya.
These two kids were found left alone at the Chavakachcheri General
Hospital.
Mythili was sent to this hospital as she needed medical treatment
when her family and many more people were rescued by the Sri Lanka Army
from the clutches of the LTTE during the humanitarian operation, a few
month ago.
It came to the notice of the Northern Governor Chandrasiri during his
recent visit to the Chavakachcheri Hospital with Social Services
Minister Douglas Devananda to inspect the construction work at the
hospital. Getting first-hand information of the actual situation, the
Governor immediately took steps to arrange the reunion of the kids with
their parents.
