Elephant House launches ice cream buffet

Celebrity Chef Don Sherman creates an enticing range of tantalising ice cream desserts.

Ceylon Cold Stores last weekend launched Sri Lanka's first-ever and biggest-ever Ice Cream Desert Buffet giving a totally new and exciting dimension to its successful and popular range of ice creams.

It was pure adventure with Elephant House ice creams as Celebrity Chef Don Sherman performed to a massive crowd at Keells Super in Union Place, creating an enticing yet unbelievable range of tantalising ice cream desserts.

The eager and appreciative crowd, mainly families, was shown how to make Ice Cream Cakes, Ice Cream Sandwiches, Ice Cream Pastries, Ice Cream Sundaes etc.

The all time Sri Lankan favourite 'Kottu' got a totally new lease of life with the creation of 'Ice Cream Kottu'.

A large number of the mothers present marvelled at the options possible and were seen busy taking down notes while the children ventured forth and indulged in their favourite ice cream.

Chef Don Sherman said that the composition of the Elephant House ice creams made it the ideal choice for such a range of desserts. Head of Frozen Confectionary, Ceylon Cold Stores Neil Samarasinghe said, 'We at Elephant House are proud of the fact that over 11.5 million servings of our Ice cream are enjoyed every month across Sri Lanka.
