Mithun, Ladduwahetty overall winners

The fifth annual charity golf tournament organised and conducted by the Royal Colombo Golf Club (RCGC) was brought to a close on friday evening with a fitting awards ceremony at the RCGC. The funds raised this year will be directed to the `President's Fund' to be made use of by the disabled soldiers and the ranaviru children. Funds for this praiseworthy cause, were generated by all that was associated with the tournament and from the raffles and auctions held at the presentation of awards cum dinner. The tournament witnessed champion golfer, Mithun Perera, and leading golfer Nalin Ladduwahetty being adjudged overall winners with 38 gross and 46 points respectively. Sri Lanka and South Asia Pacific Champion Mithun Perera does appear to enjoy a measure of success in being consistent. Equally talented was the promissing, Danushi Senadhira, who was the winner in the Junior Category.

The Ladies winner was E. Tendulf-La. The `A' `B' and `C' division winners were Sanjiv Vairavanathan, Shamal Perera and K. Yanagihar respectively.

The seniors was won by Mohan Wickremanayake and the Masters winner was Surath Wickremasinghe. The team event was taken by Ahindas.

Masters Category Winner: Surath Wickremasinghe 39 Point Runner Up: Dr. Dharmaratna Herath 35 Point

C Division Winner: K. Yanagihara 43 Runner Up: Lalith Pinto 42

B Division

Winner: Shamal Perera 41 Point Runner Up: Noel Selvanayagam 40 B/B 9
