Army stuns Bloomfield on day two

CRICKET: Opening bowler Seekuge Prasanna snapped up four wickets for 82 to give Sri Lanka Army SC a shock first innings victory over Bloomfield on the second day of their SLC Premier League cricket tournament Tier A match continued at Reid Avenue yesterday.

Army SC: 251 and 102 for 4 (T. Masmulla 2, M. de Zoysa 33, S. Randiv 4 for 45).

Bloomfield: 216 (S. Randiv 112, K. Gangodawila 27, S. Prasanna 4 for 82, A. Karunatilleke 3 for 54, R. Palleguruge 2 for 25).

Chilaw Marians 403/7

All rounder Milinda Siriwardena hit a superb 149 runs as Chilaw Marians SC built up a huge first innings lead over the CCC on the second day of their SLC Premier League cricket tournament Tier A match continued at Maitland Crescent yesterday.

CCC: 167 and 40 for 2.

Former Sri Lanka youth captain Dinesh Chandimal hit a fighting half century to help table leaders NCC take a close first innings lead over Colts CC on the second day of their SLC Premier League cricket tournament Tier A match continued at Havelock ParkĀ yesterday.

Colts CC: 170 and 203 for 8 (D. Perera 61, R. Silva 31, G. Bandara 24, T. Perera 24 n.o, K. Kulasekera 2 for 57, C. Komasaru 2 for 17).

Centuries from Hans Fernando and Thilina Kandamby helped SSC pile up a massive 466 for 7 in their first innings on the second day of their SLC Premier League cricket tournament Tier A match continued at Maitland Place yesterday.

SSC: 466 for 7 decl (T. Paranavithana 78, H. Fernando 103, K. Silva 75, T. Kandamby 102, K. Lokuarachchi 23, S. Karunanayake 53 n.o.).

Ragama on winning path

Spinner Dinesh Darshanapriya captured four wickets for 69 to put Ragama CC on course to a first innings victory over Tamil Union on the second day of their SLC Premier League cricket tournament Tier A match continued at the NCC grounds in Maitland Place yesterday.

Baduraliya take 1st innings lead

Middle order batsman Ranesh Perera slammed a magnificent 123 runs to help Baduraliya CC pull off a first innings victory over Saracens SC on the second day of their SLC Premier League cricket tournament Tier A match continued at Panadura yesterday.

Saracens SC: 200 and 96 for 3.

Baduraliya CC: 366 (S. Silva 48, R. Perera 123, E. Gangoda 5 for 126, S. Palihakkara 3 for 103).
