 Cut!! Cut!!!!
He's always on TV,
Acts the part of the rich guy
Who insists on marrying the poor girl
Who's sweet, innocent and shy
When not in front of the lens,
He's a man without sense,
Shamelessly trying to catch
Little damsels with his trap
What a vain man he was,
To think that his splendour
Would make me surrender
And that to become another star,
I would tear myself apart
He has been brought up in an environment
Where feelings were being sold.
He reminds me of the saying,
"NOT EVERY thing that glistens is GOLD!!"
A fan
False-hearted friendship
I tarried in a room with two
None of whom was a mate true
They grew green-eyed of me
No more wanted me to be
I looked for a better place
As I did not like their malice
What they got with their vanity
Was truly inhumanity
They never approved my masterpiece
Nor did they for this flair please
They sojourned together for two years
Harbouring grudges in the heart
And did not shed any tears
On the day of parting
My mom said not to be in their sight
Since the fools are not any bright.

To the shore across...
On the banks of the roaring waters
Many have gathered to go across
Casting glances of despair and doubt
Some pass the time in idleness
Others more vigilant and keen
Build rafts, losing no time
Morality, wisdom and concentration
Tied together with ropes of determination
Not to be loosened amidst waves of
Desire currents of hatred
And depths of delusion
A perilous journey across the raging river
To the shore where the Great Arahats dwell
While some are yet building rafts....... The wise are already across.

Dirt road
The road before me
Seems so welcoming
A stretch of walk
A mere lane
Dirt road
A connection to the world
Lined with shrub on either side
"You must take it..."
The wind breathes in my ear
The swaying trees mock me
"You're not gonna make it..."
Reason fights with consciousness
Logic against fancy
An agreement being made on both sides,
The two shake hands
My feet which were once so heavy, now feel light
Light as feather
I take a step
Silence
It is very enticing, I must take another
Crunch
My foot lands on the stones
Silence again
I must escape
The untiring wind now blows stronger than ever
"You shall not cross me" it cries
The unearthly road speaks for itself
It summons from deep within me, a spirit
A forbidden spirit
I challenge it
I defy convention
I defy custom
My spirit shall roam free

Disappointment
Dumbness, it's the first feeling you've to go through
Isolation hurts you for some time
Sadness, it's inevitable
Aimless life of mine
Poor me....
Poor me....
Oh! .....why have I been so unlucky?
I would rather have died and become
Numbed to all what's going on around me...
Tortured mentally, I cannot bear it any more....
Mercy.....someone's comforting words, that's all I need right now to
Ease my effort in recovering from these hard times of mine....
Not the end of everything, I know that....
Till there's a long way to go and a lot more to be achieved....

Song of your own
You veil your eyes, to hide the dreams,
Dreams of greatness, dreams of youth,
They tell to take the prescribed path,
Tried and tested, to take you far.
Your heart says different, go to the woods,
To make a path, with steps your own,
Find your way with the guiding stars,
Listen to your heart, and make a start.
Happiness differs to each its own,
What better way to find your own,
Than to let your soul, sing its song,
And let others sing their own.
