Aniston set for small screen comeback

Former Friends star Jennifer Aniston is headed back to the small screen to front a late-night show with Oprah Winfrey, according to a new report. The actress is set to produce and star alongside the media mogul in a weekly programme broadcast on the Oprah Winfrey Network, a new channel set to launch in the U.S. next year.

It was Aniston's friendship with comedienne Chelsea Handler, who fronts her own TV talk show that inspired her to take on the project, according to Britain's Sunday Express.

A source tells the publication, "Jen became fascinated with the format after spending time with Chelsea. When she saw Oprah she mentioned that it would be fun to do a chat show and Oprah seized the moment and suggested they front one together for her new network."

Aniston, who is said to have a $210 million (£140 million) fortune, is still negotiating her salary, but reports suggest the new venture won't yield her major earnings just yet.

The insider adds, "Her salary is yet to be determined. She is doing this for one reason only: She absolutely wants to do it."
