Dharmaraja - under 19 Kandy Schools Soccer Champs

FOOTBALL: Dharmaraja College, Kandy won the under 19 Schools Soccer
Championship, defeating St. Sylvester’s, Kandy by I goal to nil in the
soccer tournament concluded on 27th October, 2009 at the Bogambara
Stadium. The tourney was conducted by the Kandy District Sports
Development Foundation and Chief Guest was its President, General
Anurudha Ratwatte.
The under 15 championship was won by Wariyapola Sri Sumangala, Kandy
when they defeated St. Sylvester’s by 3 goals to nil in the final.Under
19 3rd place was won by Trinity College, Kandy when they defeated
Ranabima Royal, Gannoruwa by 1 goal to nil. Under 15 3rd place was won
by Dharmaraja College, Kandy when they defeated Nugawela Central College
by 3 goals to nil.

Champs receive the Cup... Hasitha Fernando - the captain of
Dharmaraja College receives the Champion’s Cup at the Kandy
District Football Tournament conducted by the Kandy District
Sports Development Foundation at the Bogambara Stadium. The
award was made by the President of the KDSDF General
Anuruddha Ratwatte. Second from left: Under 19 runners-up:

from Kumudu Karunaratne who is also the Treasurer of KDSDF.
