Kingswood and Mahamaya - Central Province swimming champs

SWIMMING: Kingswood College and Mahamaya Girls' College won the boys
and girls championships at the Central Province Swimming Meet held last
week at the Swimming Pool of Kingswood College, Kandy.
In the boys championships Kingswood College came on top with 698
points with Trinity College second with 672 points and Gateway
International third 77 points, Dharmaraja College fourth 52 points, CIS
fifth 49 points and Vision International sixth 35 points. Among the
girls Mahamaya Girls' College came first with 615 points, Hillwood
College were second with 450 points and Girls' High School third 188
points, Mowbray fourth 114 points, St. Anthony's Girls fifth 69 points
and Sri Sangamitta, Matale sixth 66 points. The meet was sponsored by
Nestle's Limited.

Best swimmer girls under-14 - Ayeshani Jayawardena of
Mahamaya College who won three events in the under-14 events
for girls was picked as the best swimmer in her age group
and here she receives her award from Ranjith Chandrasekera -
Principal of Kingswood College. |
