Vote President Rajapaksa for prosperity - Devananda

Minister of Social Service and the Eelam People’s Democratic Party (EPDP)
leader Douglas Devananda urged voters in the North to re-elect President
Mahinda Rajapaksa in the January Presidential poll as he was the leader,
who ushered in peace in the North and the East by eradicating LTTE
terrorism.
Minister Devananda was speaking at a seminar organised by the Bank of
Ceylon office in Jaffna at the Jaffna Public Library auditorium
yesterday. Regional manager of the Bank of Ceylon Jaffna N. Sivaratnam
presided. Minister Devananda said “The people of Jaffna should not
forget the dark days that prevailed for three decades with death and
destruction in every nook and corner in the peninsula.
The leadership of President Mahinda Rajapaksa eradicated terrorism
from the country and created peace to pave the way for prosperity.
Therefore to establish the newly dawned peace and to go ahead with
the development the people of Jaffna should re-elect President Mahinda
Rajapaksa in the Presidential poll in January Davananda said.
Meanwhile UPFA General Secretary and Minister of Education Susil
Premajayantha also met SLFP members in Jaffna last week and discussed
the election strategies in the region.
