Landslide win for President certain - Minister Senaratna

The Presidential Election to be held on January 26 will definitely elect President Mahinda Rajapaksa with a landslide victory and thereafter the country will enjoy a period of development till 2016 without any disturbance said Engineering and Construction Services Minister Dr. Rajitha Senaratna.

He was addressing a gathering at Kalutara U.C. office premises when the U.N.P. Chairman M. S. M. Mubarak joined the S.L.F.P. at the public meeting.

Nation Building Minister Rohitha Abeygunawardana garlanded the Chairman at the office entrance.

Dr. Senaratne said that Wijedasa Rajapaksha who joined the U.N.P. recently was having the U.N.P. in his heart.

He said very soon more senior UNPers will join the Government. I with another 17 others took a decision then, to join the SLFP to establish peace in the country by defeating the terrorists. That promise has been fulfilled.

Nation Building Minister Rohitha Abeygunawardana said that Ranil Wickremesinghe and Lakshman Kiriella commented that any one can face the war.

Those who condemned Sarath Fonseka then, today hug him and forward him at the presidential election as a common candidate he stated.
