Policy Dialogue for politicians
A public seminar titled "Unleashing the People's Potential: What
should be done?" will be held on Thursday Dec. 17, from 2.30pm to 5.30pm
at the Sri Lanka Foundation Institute.
Organised by the Pathfinder Foundation the seminar targets
politicians and economic advisors to the political parties currently
involved in preparation of election manifestos for both the presidential
and parliamentary contests.
The participants will also represent a cross section of the private
sector ranging from individual entrepreneurs to SMEs and large
cooperates.
The Pathfinder Foundation at this seminar will present findings of a
study and policy recommendations which will empower people and
accelerate the economic growth in Sri Lanka.
This presentation focus on the policies need to be implemented for
unleashing the potential of individual entrepreneurs, family businesses
as well as large scale private enterprises.
The seminar will be chaired and moderated by former senior deputy
Governor of the Central Bank W.A. Wijewardena.
The other panellists include Dr. Lalithasiri Gunaruwan, Senior
Lecturer in Economics, University of Colombo, Dr. Anura Ekanayake,
Chairman, Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, Charitha Ratwatte, Managing
Director of Sri Lanka Business Development Centre and Manjula De Silva,
Managing Director, HNB Assurance.
