New SLFP office in Hambantota

Minister of Ports and Civil Aviation, Irrigation and Water Management Chamal Rajapaksa urged the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) activists to attend to their duties with greater commitment and dedication. He also emphasised the importance of a systematic and professional campaign.

Minister Chamal Rajapaksa was addressing a meeting which followed the opening of the SLFP office in Hambantota. The office is situated at Sitinamaluwa, Beliatta.

Minister of Export Development and International Trade, Prof. G. L. Peiris said the smooth functioning of Sri Lanka's constitutional system takes for granted a firm and stable relationship among a variety of institutions including the Executive Presidency, Parliament, and the Cabinet of Ministers. Mahinda Amaraweera, Minister of Water Supply, described the development work which had been carried out in the area during the last few years, and said the life of the community had been transformed beyond recognition as a result.
