UGC seminars in Jaffna
The University Grants Commission under its IRQUE project sponsored a
series of seminars, for University of Jaffna, for its academic as well
as non-academic staff recently. The programs were conducted by the
Centre for Leadership Excellence and Personality Development (CENLEAD)
CEO Dr. K. Kuhathasan.
A two-day program on "Modern approaches in management" was held for
the academic members of the Medical Faculty. The Dean of the Medical
Faculty, professors and the lecturers participated.
A two-day program on "New developments in psychology" was also held
for the students of the Medical Faculty.
A one-day program on "Code of Conduct for ethical behaviour" was
conducted for the non-academic staff of the Medical Faculty.
The Vice Chancellor of the University organised a one-day program on
"Modern trends and techniques in management" for the administrative and
managerial staff of the University. Over seventy administrative and
managerial staff of the university, including the registrar and the
bursar participated.
The Dean of the Management and Commerce Faculty organised a one-day
program on "Management and Leadership", attended by the lecturers and
students.
The Education Faculty organised a one-day program on "Modern
Approaches in Teaching and Learning" for its postgraduates students.
Dr. Kuhathasan also conducted a one-day program on "Business needs
leaders, more than mangers" for Managers and Asst. Managers of the
People's Bank.
The North Zone Asst. General Manager of the People's Bank organised
the program.
