Delmege felicitates staffers

The Delmege Group felicitated their staff members at a ceremony, held recently, where both long service staff members as well as outstanding performers were recognized.

The highlight of the evening of course was the awarding of the Chairman's Trophy which was held for the 4th consecutive year and was won by Kithsiri Hiyarapitiya of Delmege Distributors.

The Chairman's Trophy recognition scheme focuses on five key areas critical for business success which include outstanding performance and/or customer service, exceptional leadership, exceptional levels of new business development or development of new ideas and concepts, outstanding service excellence and personal dedication and commitment to the Group/Company.

The Chairman's Trophy winner is chosen from the top contenders in these categories with nominations being made by the Heads of the respective companies, and is recognized for his/her outstanding performance during the financial year.

The judges for the Chairman's Trophy were Director, Nihal Abeysekera, Director, F. P. de Alwis, Director, Ajit Jayaratne, Group CEO Dilhan de Silva and Mrs. Lashika de Silva, of Human Resource Development.

Long service awards, recognised 3 categories, employment in the Company over 15 years, over 25 years and over 50 years. 19 staff members qualified for the 15 year service awards, 2 for the 25 year service awards and 1 for the 50 year award. The over 50 year Award went to H. N. Fernando of Delmege Forsyth and Co. Ltd.
