A Christmas message of love and peace
by Lakshmi Peiris
“Christmas” the word itself
brings us happiness. Our hearts are filled with joy. Rings of the
melodious tunes move the bells. Santa Clause appears in his contrasting
red cloak hanging the sack of gifts for children. The bright lights of
the evergreen Christmas tree blinks as twinkle stars.
It reminds us the star with the long tale. This miracle star gave us
a valued message which was a reality; the birth of Jesus, our saviour.
The message conveyed by Jesus Christ gave comfort to all mankind. It is
Love and Peace. This undying affection touched the lives of millions of
people in the globe.
Jesus showed us the path to heaven. We as followers of Jesus have to
select the right path. Inculcate pure attitudes as love and affection
and promote peace. Jesus Christ will shower rains of blessings on all
good things we do and will make our future still brighter to join hands
with all mankind in time to come. Christmas comes once a year.
We as humans have to make every effort to make Christmas a valued
gift with whatever contribution we can make towards the needy.
