The India-headquartered multinational coatings giant which entered
the local market in 1999 now has 11 ColourWorld outlets in Jaffna
peninsula, alone, and a dispensing network that covers all provinces in
Sri Lanka.
The company said that services of Asian Paints ColourWorld outlets,
the only fully-automated paint dispensing system in Sri Lanka, are now
available in areas such as Kamburupitiya, Baduraliya, Nattandiya,
Horowpothana, Yatiyantota, Anamaduwa, Embilipitiya, Kahatagasdigiliya,
Batticaloa and Nochchiyagama.
Joseph L. Pulikottil, the Director and General Manager of Asian
Paints Lanka said: "the expansion of its ColourWorld units has allowed
us to serve customers better all over Sri Lanka who enjoy a choice of
multiple brands from a single dispenser and several price options to
suit their requirements." And We hope to open 50 more ColourWorld
franchise outlets this year to serve our growing base of customers in
the country."
A unique feature of the ColourWorld is that customers do not have to
pay any premium for the large range of shades which are available
through the automated tinting system. Most other dispensing systems
charge more for custom-tinted shades.
Asian Paints Lanka is the first paint manufacturer in the country to
be granted Sri Lanka Standard (SLS) certification for paints dispensed
through a Dealer Tinting System.
The certification covers three Asian Paints products in the
categories of Emulsion paint - Exterior Use, Emulsion Paint - Interior
Use and Enamel Paint.
Asian Paints Lanka was the first ever overseas acquisition of Asian
Paints, one of India's most respected multinationals with international
operations in 22 countries. In Sri Lanka, Asian Paints manufactures and
markets an extensive range of paints.
