Appointment of Deputy Governor

P. D. J. Fernando with 33 years of experience in a wide range of areas in Central Bank activities including Human Resources Management, Management Audit, Statistics, Information Technology, Currency Functioning, Finance, Premises, Security Services and several other posts has been appointed as a deputygovernor.

Prior to this appointment he has held the position of Assistant Governor. Fernando holds a B.Sc. General degree from the University of Peradeniya and M.Sc. from the University of Birmingham, UK.

On secondment, he serves as the Director of Lankaclear (PVT) LTD. from 2002 onwards and as a board member of Lanka Puthra Development Bank.
