Copter landing halts match

The schools under 19 cricket tournament match between St. Sylvesters' College and Kalutara Vidyalaya was called off on the second day following a helicopter landing at Police Grounds, Kandy yesterday.

The helicopter which landed at 9 a.m. did not leave the grounds even at 3.30 p.m. when the match was finally called off.

At the time the match was called off Kalutara Vidyalaya had made 205 all out and St. Sylvesters College had replied with 94 for 3 at close on the first day. There was no play on the second day.
